Diana “Dee” Pellegrino

Diana “Dee” Pellegrino was born and raised in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.  She graduated from St. Mary Regional High School in South Amboy, received an Associate of Science Degree from Middlesex County College and a Bachelor of Science degree from Kean University.   Diana was among the first civilian 911 dispatchers for the City of Perth Amboy and an EMT on the First Aid Squad.  After she graduated from College, Diana began her career in Marketing and Advertising with The News Tribune Newspaper in Woodbridge, NJ.  She became the Marketing Director for the Asbury Park Press and the Gannett NJ Newspaper Group.  After 13 years with Gannett, she became the Marketing and Promotion Director, and Sales Manager for a group of six radio stations owned by Press Communications.

Diana was responsible for the creation and execution of hundreds of events at both the Newspaper group and the radio stations.  Some events were as large as 70,000 attendees!  She coordinated a National Tour for Celebrity Chef Lidia Bastianich, creating LIVE cooking shows across the Country.

In 2016 Diana and her husband Michael opened DPM Shore Solutions, LLC, an advertising, marketing and event agency specializing in OOH (out of home) advertising at the Jersey Shore, predominately Seaside Heights, NJ.  Diana creates events on the beach and boardwalk such as Broadway Meets the Beach, Memorial Day Kickoffs and specialized celebrity events.

Diana has always been very involved in the community.  She has volunteered and worked with many organizations including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The Police Unity Tour, Ocean County Opioid Task Force, Special Olympics, and various Animal Shelters.  Diana sits on the Board of Inspire-NJ, the Ocean County 200 Club and is a member of the Ocean County Business Association.  She is a Certified Life Coach, NJ Real Estate Agent, and a Real Estate Investor.

One of Diana’s passions in life is to support pet rescue organizations.  She lives with her husband Michael and their two Resilient Rescue Dogs, Bella and Wookie.  (See Photo)

She has 10 Nieces and Nephews that she adores and spoils on a regular basis.

Michael Pellegrino

Michael Pellegrino is a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville NJ.

He attended Mercer County Community College where he studied Fire Science.

He also attended Caldwell College and Finished at Martin School of Business in Philadelphia, PA.

He graduated from the Trenton Police Academy and started his law enforcement career in August of 1994 at the age of 19.

He was assigned to the Patrol Division upon completion of the Police Academy.

He also served as a Traffic Officer.

He was assigned as the Department’s School Resource Officer at all the Elementary Schools.

He was certified to teach DARE and GREAT (Gang Resistance Education and Training) to the school students of Ewing.

He also served as a School Resource Officer at Fisher Middle School and Ewing High School where he continued to strengthen the bonds between the police department and the young community members.

He served as a Detective in the Youth and Family Services Bureau where some of his duties included overseeing Megan’s Law and the Domestic Violence Response Team.

He was assigned to the Mercer County Special Investigation Unit, this Unit was trained in narcotics and gun investigations.

He was an instructor for Ewing Township’s much loved pre-kindergarten program, “Safety Town”.

He was a part of Ewing Police Youth Academy, where he has mentored the youth in the community.

He has received many awards and recognitions for his outstanding service to the community.

He received the Ewing Police Medal of Honor.

He was the Mercer County 200 Honoree for rescuing a trapped elderly couple and their special needs son from a motor vehicle accident.

He received recognition for his valor and received the NJ State PBA Unit Citation Award.

He was the National Law Enforcement Police Officer of the Month.

He received the Carnegie Medal of Honor Award,

He received the Knights of Columbus Exceptional Service Award.

He served on the Ewing PBA’s Executive Board as the Sergeant of Arms and as the State Delegate.

He ascended to the position of 2nd Vice President within the NJ State PBA Executive Board before retirement.

He served as the Chairman of the Good and Welfare Committee.

He served on several other Committees including the PAC Committee, New Delegates Committee within the NJ State PBA.

He was a Trustee for the Survivor and Welfare Committee.

He was past Chairman of the Mercer County Conference of PBAs.

He served as the past Chairman of the Peer Liaison Committee, which assisted many New Jersey Police Officers with mental awareness and mental strength.

He served on the Blue Mass Committee for the Diocese of Trenton.

He is involved with the Mercer County’s Sunshine Organization and every year assists with their “Operation Dreamlift” trip to Disney World.

He has been a rider with the Police Unity Tour since 2002. He is currently on their Executive Board.

He was Ewing Police’s “Officer of the Year” for 2018.

He retired from Ewing Police Department after 25 years of Service.

He serves as an Usher for his Church.

He was an Agent to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo Onofri. He held the position of Chief Resiliency Officer for Mercer County.

He is a Master Resiliency Trainer for the FBINAA.

He received the Pablo Santiago award from the Rosado Family owner of the Trenton McDonald’s Corporation for Service to the Community.

He and his wife own DPM Shore Solutions which is an Advertising, Marketing and Event Company.

He is a Certified Motivational Speaker and life coach who is skilled in Real Estate investment and mental wellness.

He is a Real Estate Agent in NJ and FL.

He is the Founder of Resilient Minds On The Front Lines Inc.  Resilient Minds was founded March of 2020.  It is a non-profit 501c3.  Resilient Minds On The Front Lines started as a webcast series to give people Hope, Positivity, A Resiliency Tool and Resources.  Now Resilient Minds is a training platform for Resiliency, Chaplaincy, Leadership, Financial Resiliency and Handle with Care/ACES.

He resides with his wife, Diana, and their fur babies Bella and Wookie.

Robert Czepiel

Robert Czepiel Jr. Esq. is the Chief Executive Officer of Resilient Minds on the Front Lines, registered as non-profit 501C(3) company in the State of New Jersey.  The company conducts national resiliency/wellness, chaplaincy, and leadership training nationwide. In June of 2021, Rob retired from the Office of the Attorney General (OAG), Division Criminal Justice (DCJ) as an Assistant Attorney General and Deputy Director.   Rob was a prosecutor at the county and state levels in New Jersey for over 25 years. Mr. Czepiel was employed at DCJ in the Official Corruption Bureau and Prosecutor Supervision and Training Bureau (PS&TB) serving in the position of lead legal instructor, Deputy Chief of Training and Chief of the Bureau.  His responsibilities included updating, training, and creating the curriculum for law enforcement officers and prosecutors on numerous legal courses offered by the Division of Criminal Justice, CLEAR Institute, and the New Jersey Police Training Commission. Rob lectured and taught on such topics as search warrants, internal affairs, warrantless searches and seizures, trial tactics, ethics, criminal code, use of force, conducted energy devices, less than lethal devices, grand jury presentations, constitutional law, court testimony, corruption investigations, money laundering investigations, white collar investigations, witness preparation, cultural diversity and de-escalation, implicit bias, special needs population and de-escalation, leadership, and resiliency.  Rob had oversight responsibility of the week-long courses on Top Gun (Guns, Gangs and Narcotics Investigations), DELTA (Leadership Training), and Unit (Undercover) trainings.  As Chief of the PS&TB, Rob had oversight authority of the 21 County Prosecutor’s Office(s) through the Director of the DCJ, immunity petitions, forfeiture applications, citizen’s complaints, CED deployment reviews, DV weapons returns, bid waivers, expungements, statewide initiatives, prosecutor and police training, and municipal prosecutor oversight.  In August of 2019, Rob was named the Chief Resiliency Officer for the State of New Jersey.   In March 2020, Rob was appointed Deputy Director with supervision of the Cyber and Financial Crimes Bureau, PS&TB, Forfeiture Unit, Brady Giglio reviews, New Jersey Resiliency Program for Law Enforcement Officers, ethics, Office of Homeland Security prosecutions, Bureau of Banking and Security prosecutions, community outreach, and the Police Training Commission. 

Previously, Rob was employed as an Assistant Prosecutor at the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office for several years. Combined, his experience included the prosecution of complex white-collar crimes in the field of public corruption; street crimes such as homicides, aggravated sexual assault, robbery, and drug distribution cases; family matters such as domestic violence and juvenile delinquency cases; and appellate matters. Rob has appeared before the Superior Court of New Jersey both Law and Appellate Division(s) and the Supreme Court of New Jersey and successfully tried numerous high-profile cases to verdict. He was the recipient of the 2008 Excellence in Legal Support Award by the New Jersey Office of Attorney General for the trial and conviction of the former Chief of Staff of the New Jersey Commerce and Economic Growth Commission for multiple counts of Official Misconduct. He is the recipient of the 2004 DCJ “Chief’s Award” for the investigation and prosecution of a former assemblyman for allegations of campaign fraud. He is a recipient of the 2013 Attorney General Award for efforts done to keep the DCJ Academy open after Hurricane Sandy.   In 2019, Rob received a PROCOPS award for the New Jersey Resiliency Program for Law Enforcement; Attorney General’s Award for Excellence in an Outstanding Contribution to a Special Project; and the DCJ Director’s Award for Excellence in Leadership and Management.   He is a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Jury Selection and Family Practice.   In 2019, he served on the Third Circuit Panel on Out of Court Identification Procedures and numerous state-wide initiatives and panels.   Since 2010, Rob has been an adjunct professor of law at Widener University School of Law and Rowan College at Burlington County.  Rob has also taught numerous Continuing Legal Education courses.  He is a graduate of Widener Law School and was admitted to the New Jersey bar in 1997.

Dr. Lew Schlosser

Lewis Z. Schlosser, PhD, ABPP, is the managing partner at the Institute for Forensic Psychology, which is a police and public safety focused specialty practice based in Oakland, New Jersey. Dr. Schlosser is a licensed psychologist in New York (#16482), New Jersey (#4822), Maine (#PS2163), and Pennsylvania (#PS019274). He is Board Certified in Police and Public Safety Psychology (#8539) and Counseling Psychology (#6558) by the American Board of Professional Psychology. He is a former tenured Associate Professor at Seton Hall University and former in-house Director of Psychological Services for the New York City Correction Department. Dr. Schlosser has conducted over 10,000 law enforcement psychological evaluations, including pre-employment, promotional, and fitness for duty evaluations. He provides training to police personnel on a variety of topics related to officer mental health, with special expertise in fitness for duty and officer wellness.

Dr. Schlosser is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, Police Psychological Services Section. He currently serves on the Executive Board of the Police Psychological Services Section as the General Chair. He is also an Auxiliary Member of the National Sheriff’s Association (NSA) and a Member of the NSA Psychological Services Group. Dr. Schlosser is an affiliate member of the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police (NJSACOP) and the Bergen County Police Chief’s Association. He currently serves as the Chief Psychologist for the NJSACOP. Dr. Schlosser is a member of the New Jersey Police Surgeons and he is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association.

Dr. Schlosser earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, his Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, and his PhD in Counseling Psychology, all from the University of Maryland at College Park.

Joseph Collins

Joe began his law enforcement career in August of 1985. He joined the Two Rivers Police Department in April of 2005 as their Chief of Police and in 2006 became the Acting-City Manager.  He previously served 6 years as the Chief of Police for the Osceola Police Department.  In February of 2020 he was hired to his current position with Acadia Healthcare. In this role he helps connect public safety agencies, employees, and their families with behavioral healthcare saving lives, families and the careers of our public safety employees around the world. 

He holds an Associate degree in Police Science, a Bachelor’s degree in Administration of Criminal Justice, and a Master’s degree in Managing Organizational Behavior. 

During his 35 years in law enforcement and public safety he has been involved in a number of specialty areas including SWAT, honor guard, tactical team, drug investigations, field training supervision, bike patrol supervisor, patrol supervisor and administrator, marine patrol officer and administrator, honor guard, use of force instructor, firearms instructor, and many other areas.  

He is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Academy (FBINA) session 236 and is the 2015-2016 President of the Wisconsin FBI National Academy Association where he also served five years on the executive board. He has served numerous years as the Co-Chair of the FBI National Academy Association’s Officer Safety & Wellness Committee, and now is a member of their Training Commitee, and he was a member of the FBINAA Finance Committee for 5 years, where he is actively engaged with the more than 17,000 law enforcement leaders around the world.  He was appointed to the Wisconsin Department of Justice Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board by Governor Walker and elected by the board to the position of Co-Chairperson for the two years and Chairperson for an additional two years; he now sits on the Executive Board.  

He is a federally certified Use of Force and Firearms Instructor and a Master Instructor Trainer and the Best Practices -Training Standards Director, for the Reality Based Training Association (RBTA).  He is a Master Instructor in both the United States Air Force – Comprehensive Airman Resiliency Train-the-Trainer Program and FBI National Academy Association’s Comprehensive Officer Resiliency Train-the-Trainer program.  He has trained thousands of officers throughout the United States and Internationally through the FBINAA, RBTA, the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA), U.S. Police Instructor Teams, and Global Study Group Inc. (GSGI).  He is a member of the International Chief of Police Association (IACP) and the Wisconsin Chief of Police Association, where he formerly served as the Chair of the Training and Professional Development committee, helping to coordinate two annual training events for more than ten year.  

He served as the President of the Wisconsin SWAT Association and served 13 years on their board of directors assisting with the coordination of annual training events.  He has instructed both nationally and internationally on topics of leadership, use of force, drug interdiction, scenario instruction, high-risk fugitive apprehension, firearms instructor development, SWAT tactics, Officer Safety & Wellness, and many in many others topic areas. He is also a certified instructor in Civilian Response During an Active Threat and is certified in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design and Threat Assessment protocols.  

For ten years he served as the lead coordinator of the Wisconsin LEDR (Law Enforcement Death Response) Team.  Through this position he assists agencies when they face the loss of one of their own. He is an adjunct instructor for Fox Valley Technical College where he teaches in the Law Enforcement Academy on the topics of Officer Safety and Wellness and Suicide Prevention within Public Safety. 

Mr. Collins also serves and a consultant for the U.S. Department of Justice as a subject matter expert in Officer Resilience and as a facilitator around the US.  In this role he helps connect public safety agencies, employees and their families with mental healthcare providers saving lives, families and the careers of our public safety employees around the world. 

During his career Chief Collins has received (3) Meritorious Service Awards, (5) Distinguished Service Awards, (3) Life Saving Awards, the ‘Investigative Team Work Award’ from the Winnebago County District Attorney’s Office, the Chief’s Award Pin, and the Award of Appreciation from the Association of National Delegates for the Brazilian Federal Police. In 2015 Chief Collins was selected by the Wisconsin Attorney General and the Wisconsin Department of Justice as the  Wisconsin Law Enforcement Officer of the Year for his leadership throughout his career to improve law enforcement within the state and nationally.

 

Joseph Maranowicz

Married to his wife Belinda since 2003 and has been blessed with three amazing boys, Zachary, Cole, and Reid.  Being a husband and father are his first priorities and his work is secondary.  Joe is a retired law enforcement officer from Addison Illinois serving for just over 20 years in the honorable profession.  Joe has a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and a Master of Science Degree in Public Safety Administration from Lewis University.  He is a graduate of the Northwestern Staff and Command #276, a graduate of the FBI National Academy class #257, and a graduate of the Police Executive Research Forum class #69.  He has served as a member of the Northern Illinois Critical Incident Stress Management Team, as well as a member of the Illinois Chief’s Funeral Assistance team, is a Certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor, and is a Master Resilience Trainer teaching throughout the nation.  Joe is currently the Village Manager for the Village of Addison which is situated in the Chicagoland area. 

Dr. Michele Freeman

Michele Freeman began her law enforcement career in 1992 with the City of Las Vegas (CLV) Department of Public Safety (DPS) as a Corrections Officer.  She served as Corporal, Sergeant, Lieutenant, and member of the department’s Special Emergency Response Team (SERT), prior to being named Deputy Chief in 2006.  She was appointed Chief in 2011 and held the position for almost ten years prior to her retirement. Among numerous revolutionary changes, Michele led the CLV DPS through progressive 21st century strategies essential in contemporary law enforcement.  Through Michele’s perseverance, the department added its first, dedicated, Crisis Intervention Administrator; a trained mental health professional who provides support to the department through education and counsel.  

Michele is a graduate of the 249th session of the prestigious Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy and the 206th class of the renowned Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command.  During her time as a public servant with CLV DPS, she received both Management and Executive Certifications from the Nevada State Peace Officer’s and Training (POST) Commission; the highest certifications awarded to sworn personnel.  Michele was a Certified Jail Manager granted by the American Jail Association and served as a Commissioner for the Nevada POST Commission, appointed by the Governor. 

Michele earned her Doctor of Public Policy Degree which focused on Suicide Awareness and Prevention for Law Enforcement Officers, holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, a Master’s Certificate in Public Administration, a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a strong emphasis in Sociology and Psychology, all from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, and an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts.  

Education, training, and mentoring are Michele’s greatest passions.  Michele’s continuous dedication to resiliency, mental health, emotional health, self-care, holistic wellness, suicide awareness and prevention, and overall well-being are apparent as she currently facilitates educational programs in these areas. 

Michele remains an active member of numerous organizations and sits on several boards. Her time is filled with volunteering for non-profit organizations.  She is recognized as a helper with a compassionate heart and her motto has remained; to lead with love.  She leads by example with her commitment to developing the workforce, consistently educating herself and seeking opportunities for self-improvement.

Dr. Michael Wiltsey

Michael Wiltsey has been a law enforcement officer for over twenty-one years currently holding the rank of Lieutenant for the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office.  Lieutenant Wiltsey is currently the Forensics Commander and oversees the Crime Scene, High-Tech Crimes, and Evidence Management Units housed at the recently renovated state-of-the-art Forensic Services Center. 

Lieutenant Wiltsey earned his B.A.s in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Monmouth University. He then earned an M.A. degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay University and a PH.D. in Clinical Psychology with a Specialization in Forensic Psychology from Drexel University.  He is also a practicing Licensed Psychologist with experience and interest in police related psychological issues.  Lieutenant Wiltsey is also a faculty member of New Jersey City University, Professional Security Studies Department. In addition, he is also a member of the Burlington County Mental Health Board.

Lieutenant Wiltsey is the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office Mental Health Liaison with the Attorney General’s Office/Division of Criminal Justice.  As such, he was the law enforcement coordinator for the statewide mandated Special Needs/De-Escalation training in 2017.  Lieutenant Wiltsey and BCPO colleagues developed a Mental Health Handbook for the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office, published in February 2019. 

Lieutenant Wiltsey has been a part of the professional working group for the New Jersey Resiliency Program since the beginning of this initiative in 2016, and has contributed to the development of the training and the directive.  He was among the first group of 24 Master Trainers that attended the first ever FBI/NA Comprehensive Officer Resilience Program train-the-trainer course held in New Jersey in June 2018.   Lieutenant Wiltsey has been one of the presenters of the overview of the Resiliency Program in Burlington County in March 2019 and at the Resiliency Summit in October 2019. Lieutenant Wiltsey is a Master Trainer for the New Jersey Resiliency Program and is a Resiliency Program Officer (RPO) for his agency. 

 

Dimitri Collins

Dimitri Collins is an Executive Law Enforcement Professional and Army veteran with an extensive background in training and professional development. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science in Management with a focus on Organizational Leadership from Thomas Edison State University. 

She is a career-oriented leader with a passion for empowering others to reach their full potential. Dimitri has served as the Training Unit Commander for Camden County Department of Corrections and has led the Basic Training Courses for County Corrections Police Officers and County Juvenile Detention Officers at the Camden County College Police Academy. She is currently a County Corrections Police Captain and a 17-year veteran of her department, as well as the author of Transitioning into Leadership: The Blueprint. 

Dimitri continues to pursue her passion to develop leaders through public speaking and running her leadership consulting company, Transition into Leadership Foundation, LLC.

William Mazur

William “Bill” Mazur is a 25-year law enforcement veteran and retired from his former department in 2017 at the rank of Deputy Chief of Police.  

Bill holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Stockton University and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Training and Development in the Police Graduate Studies Program from Seton Hall University. He also completed the N.J. State Association of Chiefs of Police Leadership Exchange Program at the College of Policing in the United Kingdom.

Bill is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Session #256, and currently serves as a Master Instructor with the FBI National Academy Associates in their Comprehensive Officer Resilience Program.  

Bill now works for Acadia Healthcare as a Strategic Account Manager and Public Safety Liaison with the Treatment Placement Specialists® Initiative, which provides specialized treatment guidance for public safety personnel, first responders and their families who may find themselves in a personal crisis as a result of a mental health issue or substance use disorder.

Gary Holden

Rev. Gary W. Holden is the Founder, President and CEO of The Police Chaplain Program. Chaplain Holden completed the Law Enforcement Adjunct Instructor Training Program implemented by the U.S. Department Homeland Security Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers Office of Training Management. 

Chaplain Holden is a member and is trained in Pastoral, Group, Assisting Individuals in Crisis, Advanced Group Crisis Intervention, Advanced Assisting Individuals in Crisis, CISM Application with Children and Managing School Crisis: From Theory to Application with the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation and is an approved instructor. Chaplain Holden was awarded the prestigious Susan E. Hamilton, PHD Award by the ICISF at their World Congress in 2015, for his development of and work with police chaplaincy. Chaplain Holden is a member of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress and the National Center for Crisis Management.

He is a counselor and chaplain with the New Jersey Disaster Response Crisis Counseling (DRCC) Team. Chaplain Holden is a member of the New Jersey Department of Homeland Security Interfaith Advisory Council. He is the Sr. Chaplain of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department, a Chaplain with the New Jersey State Police and the Cumberland County NJ Prosecutor’s Office. He founded the Public Schools Police Chaplain Resource Program. He served as a chaplain after 911 at Ground Zero in NYC working with the New York City Police and Fire Departments and the Port Authority Police Department.  He is also a board member, Senior Chaplain and the Emergency Chaplain Corp. Chairman for The Four Chaplains Memorial Foundation in Philadelphia from which he received The Legion of Honor Bronze Medallion award for sacrificial service. Chaplain Holden was also involved in chaplain work with The Battleship New Jersey Museum in Camden, NJ and is a regular speaker at patriotic events and services.

Chaplain Holden has been involved with the professional working group for the New Jersey Resiliency Program from the beginning in 2016, and has contributed to the development of the program. He was involved in teaching at the Resiliency Summit in October 2019. He is a Master Resilience Trainer and coordinates the MRT training for chaplains.

Stephanie Nassis

Police Officer, International Speaker, Mental Health Advocate, Trauma Sensitive Yoga and Meditation Instructor, Master Shamanic and Holistic Health Practitioner.

Stephanie has been recognized as an expert and leader in mental health awareness and wellness. She specializes in workplace stress, suicide prevention, emotional self-defense, and nutrition. With over 24 years as a veteran police officer in the Greater-Toronto-Area, Stephanie is adept at responding to a wide range of critical incidents, including traffic fatalities, sudden deaths, homicides, and suicides.

Stephanie is a pioneer in police wellness and spearheaded mindfulness, meditation and trauma-sensitive yoga programs for front-line officers. Stephanie has received accredited training from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy Associates (FBINAA) as a certified Comprehensive Officer Resiliency Master Trainer in Quantico, Virginia.

Stephanie teaches Officer Resilience, Mental Health, Suicide Awareness, Indigenous Awareness, and is part of the Critical Incident Response Team providing peer support for first responders.

In addition, she volunteers for several organizations. She is a former advisory member for Circles for Reconciliation (CFR), dedicated to fostering trusting and meaningful relationships between Indigenous and Non-Indigenous peoples as part of the 94 Calls to Action from the ‘Truth and Reconciliation Commission.’

Buddy is a retired Georgia State Patrol Captain and Troop Commander and is currently serving as the County Manager for Brooks County Georgia. He serves as an adjunct Professor with Columbus State University in Georgia where he instructs Master level courses including; resiliency in public safety and government, organizational strategic planning, and essential management skills for organizations. He is the lead consultant and facilitator for TN-Bleu Training as well as a curriculum team member and facilitator for “Resilient Minds on the Front Lines” a national company based in New Jersey. Buddy resides in Colquitt Georgia with his wife Tracy, two daughters Courtney and Jaycie and his son Alex. 

Born and raised just above the Florida line in Valdosta Georgia, Buddy began his career with the Georgia State Patrol as a radio dispatcher right after high school in 1990. He became a Trooper in 1994 and was relocated to Post 14 Donalsonville (now Colquitt) in Southwest Georgia.

Buddy later became a certified vehicle homicide investigation expert in 1997 and was assigned to the Inaugural Georgia State Patrol Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team (SCRT). This Statewide team of 20 Investigated over 1500 fatal crashes in a three-year period successfully prosecuting over 200 felony cases that arose from those fatality crashes. Buddy later returned to his home Post in Donalsonville and rose through the ranks from Corporal to Post Commander and then the Command Staff rank of Captain and Troop G Commander for the Southwest Georgia Region. He Served as the State of Georgia GSP Incident Commander for all major events from numerous weather-related disasters to civil unrest situations and incidents.  

Buddy Attended the 244th session of the FBI National Academy. Afterward he was appointed by Governor Nathen Deal to serve as the Chairman for his local Board of Education and was tasked with the responsibility of restructuring the governance of his hometown school board and system. Later he was voter elected to that position and served a four-year term which ended with the successful restructuring of the School Board and its administrative system, bringing the school district back into full compliance and making it one of the best in the Southern region of the state. 

Buddy has served as an adjunct instructor for Bainbridge College (Now ABAC) in the Criminal Justice field for five years and retired in April 2018 from the Georgia Department of Public Safety. He and his wife started a consulting business “TNBLEU Conglomerate” which specializes in many aspects of leadership and training in public safety, business administration, and heavily focuses on resiliency facilitation. He was asked in 2018 to take the County Manager role for Grady County Georgia which oversees all administration assigned to the Commissioners. He served in that role for 6 years until taking a new County Manager position with Brooks County Geogia. Buddy serves as a lead instructor and Curriculum team member for “Resilient Minds On the Front Lines” which is a National based Resiliency Training Company currently serving the US and abroad. 

In 2021, Buddy was selected to carry out the Georgia Police and Public Safety Officer Resiliency Training Program through Georgia’s Peace Officers Standards and Training. That program is now legislated and in the mandate courses for all law enforcement academies. A huge victory for law enforcement. 

Buddy’s greatest love is being able to Serve as a National Master Resilience Lead Instructor and he has facilitated well over 300 Courses throughout the US and Canada. His passion in the field of officer wellness and mental strengthening along with his understanding of the need for standard training nationwide for all public safety branches has been his focus for the last 8 years and continues his passion and pursuit toward that vision.

Dr. Kate Tumelty Felice

Dr. Kate Tumelty Felice is an education and psychology professor and Coordinator of Education Programs at Rowan College of South Jersey. She began her career in law enforcement as a major crimes and narcotics detective with the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office. She then transitioned into education with a proactive focus on kids’ wellness. She trains in and incorporates trauma-informed mindfulness with nutrition, nature, and movement, for kids, veterans, and first responders to increase long-term resiliency. Dr. Felice has implemented holistic wellness programs in schools and organizations, and is the Project Director for the National WholeHealthED. She speaks nationally on innovative education, wellness and resiliency, and other aspects of learning and wellness. She recently attended and completed the New Jersey Master Resiliency Officer training course and is advising the New Jersey Office of Attorney General, Division of Criminal Justice with other academic subject matter experts in the field of resiliency.
